Following cancer, a woman may find that she has to reclaim her life, including her sexuality.

Cancer and its treatments can cause physical and hormonal changes and affect a woman’s ability to experience sexual satisfaction.

Cancer and its treatments can also affect a women’s emotional well-being, including:

  • A sense of instability within her life and feelings of loss
  • Depression, anxiety and/or fear, related to the potential pain with sexual activities.
  • Perceived inadequacy of her sexual response.
  •  Altered perceptions of body image or self esteem
  • A sense of relationship instability

  • Gain an understanding of available resources for sexual exploration and sensual knowledge (videos, books and toys)
